As winter slowly loosens its grip, the festival of Imbolc marks a quiet yet potent turning point in the year. Traditionally celebrated at the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox, Imbolc is a time when life begins to stir beneath the frozen ground. unseen, but undeniably present.
This stirring is mirrored within us.
Many of us are becoming aware that we are in a period of collective awakening, we can feel the releasing old identities, habits, and energetic patterns that no longer fit who we are becoming. This process can feel tender, disorientating, and at times heavy. We are learning how to let go without force, and how to move forward without rushing.
Nature offers a profound reminder here: nothing awakens alone.

Bulbs rise in clusters. Trees form living ecosystems, communicating through vast underground fungal networks. Even those that appear solitary are deeply connected beneath the surface. Growth happens in relationship.
This year, Imbolc is accompanied by the Snow Full Moon, traditionally associated with introspection, purification, and preparation for spring. The Full Moon brings illumination, not as celebration, but as awareness, revealing what is ready to be released and what is quietly readying itself to emerge.
Together, Imbolc and the Snow Moon invite us to:
slow down and listen inwardly
clear space gently and consciously
reconnect with inner fire and intuition
gather in community for support and reflection
My upcoming workshop, Festival of Awakening at the Full Moon, is a 3-hour immersive experience weaving yoga, breath, ritual, meditation, sound and rest. Drawing from Celtic and yogic traditions, the morning is designed to support a grounded, embodied awakening, one that honours both the natural world and our inner landscape.
This is not about striving or transformation-through-effort. It is about remembering that we are part of a living web and that awakening is something we do together.
