Friday 1st May – Sunday 3rd May 2026
Optional extra night: Sunday 3rd – Monday 4th May

A Warm Invitation

Step away from the noise of everyday life and arrive somewhere slower, softer, and more alive

Beltane by the River is an intimate, soul‑nourishing retreat held beside the River Teifi in rural West Wales. Rooted in seasonal rhythm and shared presence, this weekend is an invitation to reconnect, — with yourself, with nature, and with a small circle of like‑hearted people.

This is not a luxury retreat. It is something richer: rustic charm, wild beauty, heartfelt practice, and genuine belonging.

What Is Beltane?

Beltane marks the ancient Celtic festival of fire, fertility, creativity, and life force. A threshold moment between spring and summer when the land is alive with possibility.

Traditionally celebrated with fire, music, movement, and community, Beltane reminds us that joy, pleasure, and creative expression are sacred acts.

During this retreat we will honour Beltane gently and authentically, not through performance, but through embodiment, presence, and shared ritual.

The Spirit of the Retreat

This retreat has been shaped over years of personal visits to this land: camping, staying in the accommodation, swimming in the river, walking the hills, visiting nearby villages, and watching dolphins along the coast.

Because of that, the atmosphere is friendly, grounded, and welcoming, rather than polished or prescriptive.

You can expect:

• Space to slow down and truly switch off

• Practices that invite depth without pressure

• Time outdoors - river, woods, coast

• Shared meals, laughter, and quiet companionship

• Celebration without excess

This is a place to arrive exactly as you are — and be met there.

A heart felt note from Alison

Over the years, this place has quietly become part of my life. I’ve come here regularly since 2018.  Sometimes camping, sometimes staying in the accommodation, returning with my children to swim in the river, share carrots and apples with Charlie the horse, visit nearby villages, and spend slow days by the sea watching dolphins and sharing ice-creams and chips. There’s an ease to this land that invites connection without effort. I wanted to create a retreat that reflects that same feeling: friendly, grounded, and real. A space where people can arrive as they are, share simple moments, and feel part of something quietly meaningful.
