Service Description

Autumn 1: 3/9, 10/9, 17/9, 24/9, 1/10 This is a mat based course. You will need to be able to get up and down from the floor - even if it is slowly or with difficulty. This might be why you're coming and Yoga can certainly help with that. (If getting up and down from the floor is going to be too challenging try my chair yoga classes instead) All equipment is provided. Wear any loose comfy clothes. Layers are ideal. -T-shirt, joggers/leggings hoody/sweat shirt. This is for you if you... -suffer with tight & inflexible muscles -want to improve your posture -have aches & pains -struggle to get up and down from the floor. -have poor balance -Never tried yoga before but willing to give it a go. -returning to yoga and want a refresher -and want to invest in yourself & improve yourself physically, mentally and emotionally You will be expertly guided and... - learn basic yoga postures -practice simple breathing techniques -enjoy deep relaxation practices -Gain confidence in your own body -develop strength and flexibility -improve your coordination -make new friends This course is held in a safe, small & friendly, non-judgmental and non-competitive space. The small class size (max 9) allows me to get to know you and your specific needs. I am then able to guide you safely to reconnect with your body and mind. We begin with gentle limbering moves and sequences to warm up the muscles and joints in preparation for posture work. Posture work strengthens and tones the body. The objective is not how far you can stretch or contort your body but to practice with steadiness and ease. All postures can be modified to individual ability and to address medical conditions, However, if you have specific needs or have any concerns, do get in touch. It maybe necessary to discuss if this course is suitable, I also offer one to ones. You will be introduced to simple breath work practices that connect you to your breathing and help regulate the body and mind. All classes end with a period of relaxation. You will leave each week feeling calmer, happier, stronger, more flexible and energised. Please read my FAQs . There is a link on the banner at the bottom of every page on my website. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: For Yoga classes: Full refunds or transfers will be provided if you give me at least 36 hours notice either through the booking system if booked online or via email to This gives me time to contact other people on the waiting list. If I am able to fill your space after 36 hrs notice and before 24hrs notice you will receive a transfer offer to another class. After this time no refunds or transfers will be given. Refunds or transfers will not be given for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice. For workshops, events and extended sessions: Unless otherwise stated, full refunds or transfers will be provided if clients wish to cancel attendance with at least 30 days notice. If notice of cancellation is at least 7 days before the event, refunds or transfers will be at the discretion of Alison Foster Yoga. Refunds and transfers will not be given for cancellations with less than 7 days notice.
